Members Continue to Make a Difference In Minnesota
Excitement filled the air as Lodge #171 in Duluth, MN prepared to host a massive rummage sale at the GND Rec Center that spanned two days on Friday and Saturday, April 21st and 22nd.
The purpose of this grand sale was not merely to clean out cluttered basements and garages but to make a difference in the lives of the residents. Donations were eagerly accepted, and the local community responded with open hearts.
The event was part of a KSKJ Life matching funds project, fueling the excitement even further. Every dollar spent at the rummage sale would be matched, up to $1,000, potentially doubling the impact of purchases. This incredible initiative ensured that every customer was not only acquiring something special but also supporting a worthy cause.
The GND REC is a place where families come together to enjoy a plethora of activities and programs. Free youth programming, exercise and yoga classes, and a myriad of outdoor amenities awaited those who frequented this beloved space. From soccer fields to a dog park, a community garden, a multi-activity sport court, and an open-air pavilion, the GND REC has it all.
With the help of the total donation of $3440, the GND REC can continue its mission of providing free youth programming, offering exercise and yoga classes, and maintaining the various outdoor amenities that had become the heart of the community. The rummage sale had not only brought financial support but also strengthen the bonds that hold Duluth together, uniting its residents in a common purpose.
