Fire Prevention Week October 9-15
2022 Theme: Fire Won't Wait, Plan Your Escape!
This year's National Fire Protection Association's theme emphasizes how critical it is to create an escape plan for your home and to practice it regularly. Lorraine Carli, the Vice President of the NFPA's Outreach and Advocacy division, shares that homes today burn a lot faster and hotter than in the past. This minimizes the time you may have to escape. You may have as little as two minutes once the fire alarm sounds to get out. Make a plan and stay alive!

The Slovenian Consulate General of Clevelandpaid a visit to KSKJ Life, Lodge 7, in Pueblo, CO and were treated to a little Slovenian hospitality! KSKJ Life National Board members and Lodge 7 officers, Rudy Krasovec and Danny Golob, graciously hosted this gathering to showcase the vast Slovenian culture and heritage present in Pueblo. Music, wine, and other culinary delights were shared! With the presence of Slovenian institutions in the community such as the Slovenian School and the church of St. Marije, it is evident that Slovenian immigrants brought significant contributions and multiculturalism to the Pueblo area.
