Sometimes the obvious isn’t obvious. Pretty soon we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. We all look forward to a holiday and are aware of this special one. However, sometimes we forget what the holiday is for and why we have it. The word itself should give us the reason for a holiday. It is a time to say “Thanks”. We are so blessed and so fortunate. So many of our brothers and sisters in our world are not as fortunate. That is why we are so joyful about the response KSKJ Life members and friends have given to those in need in the Southern part of our country who were affected by the recent hurricanes. We appreciate what we have and are willing to share to help others.
Thanksgiving is a special time to pause and reflect on our blessings. While we enjoy family, food and football, taking a moment to give thanks to God can add deeper meaning to the day. My very best to you at this time.

Hurricane Relief Drive
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, KSKJ Life has launched a national relief initiative in partnership with the American Red Cross. Thanks to your generosity, we are almost at our goal and are committed to matching donations up to $10,000. The Red Cross has been on the ground, providing essential services like emergency shelter, meals, and supplies to communities affected by these storms.

In 1942, President Roosevelt issued a proclamation designating the fourth Thursday in November as Thanksgiving Day. That same year, KSKJ Life held it's 20th National Convention in Chicago. It was announced that 1203 KSKJ Life members were enlisted in the Armed Forces at that time during World War II. As we approach Veterans Day and Thanksgiving this year, let us take a moment to express our gratitude to all veterans who have courageously served and defended our country.
